They do this to bring us to our knees. To make us beg for answers. To make us do everything for an answer like giving them an apology and/or noting our own inadequacies. They force us to be the rational and vulnerable ones because we inevitably say, “I am sorry and understand your frustration. Although I should not have said or done X, Y, and Z. Please forgive me. Please talk to me. We need to work this out.” Bahaha!!! All that does is give them fodder to keep blaming you!!! It’s a twisted and sick game. And makes life so damn complicated. Thanks!

Love, love, love this! I saw this on Paula’s post and can not thank you enough for your insightful words. My husband’s ex- is doing this to us right now as she “fights” him for more child support, as she lies, manipulates, covers up, and misleads. It can become fatiguing. Thanks for this awareness today! 🙂
