Some of us have learned about psychopathy, but for most, the thought that there are people without a conscience clashes so severely with their convictions that they are unable or unwilling to explore factual information that contradicts their beliefs. Despite the problem of cognitive bias, knowledge and awareness of the issue is spreading around the globe, much thanks to the Internet. Someday, an understanding of personality disorders will be common knowledge, I believe, and psychopath resistance will become reality.
